Payment Policy

Garden Buzz

Effective Date: 30 August 2026

Garden Buzz is committed to providing clear and transparent payment information to customers purchasing products through our website.

This Payment & Billing Policy explains the payment method accepted by Garden Buzz, when payment is required, how payments are verified, and how payment-related matters are handled.

This policy forms part of the terms governing purchases made through the Garden Buzz website and should be read together with our Terms & Conditions, Returns & Refunds Policy, Shipping & Delivery Policy, and Privacy Policy.

1. Currency and Product Prices

All prices displayed on the Garden Buzz website are stated in South African Rand (ZAR).

The applicable product price will be displayed before the customer completes an order.

Where delivery charges or other applicable charges are payable, these charges will be communicated to the customer before the order is completed.

Garden Buzz takes reasonable steps to ensure that prices displayed on the website are accurate and current.

If an obvious error in the price of a product is identified, Garden Buzz will take reasonable steps to address the error and will communicate with affected customers where necessary.

Where a payment has already been received for an order that cannot be fulfilled because of an applicable pricing error, any refund will be handled in accordance with applicable law and our Returns & Refunds Policy.

2. Payment Method

Garden Buzz currently accepts payment by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) / Bank Transfer.

Customers will receive the relevant payment instructions and banking information in connection with their order.

Garden Buzz does not currently accept credit card payments, debit card payments, cash on delivery or other payment methods unless such method is specifically made available on the website.

Garden Buzz may introduce additional payment methods in the future. Where this occurs, the applicable payment options will be displayed to customers.

3. Payment of Orders

Orders must be paid in full unless Garden Buzz has expressly agreed to alternative payment arrangements with the customer in writing.

Customers are responsible for transferring the correct amount using the payment instructions supplied by Garden Buzz.

Garden Buzz will begin processing an order once the required payment has been received and verified.

An order will not ordinarily be dispatched before the required payment has been received and verified.

4. EFT Verification

Customers may be required to provide proof of payment after completing an EFT.

Proof of payment may be used by Garden Buzz to assist in identifying a transaction.

However, proof of payment does not constitute confirmation that the funds have been received.

Garden Buzz will verify the payment against its bank records before confirming the order for processing.

Where payment has not yet reflected, cannot be identified, or requires further verification, processing of the order may be delayed until the payment has been successfully verified.

5. Payment Reference

Customers should use their order number as the payment reference when making an EFT, unless Garden Buzz provides different instructions.

Using the correct reference helps Garden Buzz identify and allocate the payment to the relevant order.

Where a payment is received without sufficient identifying information, Garden Buzz may contact the customer for additional information before allocating the payment.

Any delay resulting from an unidentified or incorrectly referenced payment may affect the processing time of the order.

6. Payment Amounts

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the amount transferred corresponds with the total amount payable for their order.

If the amount received is less than the amount due, Garden Buzz may place the order on hold until the outstanding amount has been received.

If an amount greater than the amount due is received, Garden Buzz will investigate the payment and, where appropriate, arrange for the excess amount to be refunded.

Any refund will be handled in accordance with our Returns & Refunds Policy and applicable law.

7. Order Confirmation

After an order has been submitted, Garden Buzz may provide the customer with an electronic order confirmation.

An order confirmation confirms that Garden Buzz has received the order information. It does not necessarily mean that payment has been received or that the order has been approved for dispatch.

Order processing will generally commence once the required payment has been received and verified.

If Garden Buzz is unable to fulfil an order, the customer will be notified and any payment received will be dealt with in accordance with applicable law and our applicable refund procedures.

8. Product Availability

Garden Buzz makes reasonable efforts to ensure that product availability information displayed on the website is accurate.

In circumstances where a product becomes unavailable after an order has been submitted, Garden Buzz will communicate with the affected customer and provide an appropriate resolution in accordance with applicable law.

Where payment has already been received and Garden Buzz is unable to fulfil the order, any applicable refund will be processed in accordance with our Returns & Refunds Policy.

9. Invoices and Proof of Purchase

Garden Buzz may issue an invoice, order confirmation or other appropriate proof of purchase for completed transactions.

Customers should retain their order confirmation, invoice and proof of payment.

These documents may be required when contacting Garden Buzz regarding an order, refund, return, warranty matter or other transaction-related enquiry.

10. Payment Delays

Garden Buzz is not responsible for delays caused by a customer's bank, financial institution or other third party involved in the EFT process.

Payment-related delays may occur where:

  • a payment has not yet cleared;

  • incorrect payment details were used;

  • an incorrect payment reference was supplied;

  • the amount transferred was incorrect;

  • the payment cannot be identified; or

  • additional verification is reasonably required.

Garden Buzz will take reasonable steps to assist customers in resolving identifiable payment issues.

11. Payment Security and Fraud Prevention

Garden Buzz takes reasonable measures to protect customers and the business against fraudulent or unauthorised payment activity.

Customers should only use payment instructions provided through official Garden Buzz channels.

If a customer receives unexpected communication requesting payment into different banking details, the customer should contact Garden Buzz directly using the contact information published on the Garden Buzz website before making payment.

Garden Buzz will not request a customer's online banking password, banking PIN, OTP, card PIN or other confidential banking credentials.

Garden Buzz may delay or decline processing of a transaction where there are reasonable grounds to suspect fraudulent, unauthorised or irregular activity.

12. Customer Billing Information

Customers are responsible for ensuring that information supplied when placing an order is accurate and complete.

This includes information such as:

  • full name;

  • email address;

  • telephone number;

  • billing information; and

  • delivery information.

Incorrect or incomplete information may result in delays in processing an order, communicating with the customer or arranging delivery.

Customers should notify Garden Buzz as soon as reasonably possible if information supplied with an order needs to be corrected.

13. Refunds

Where Garden Buzz is required to provide a refund, the refund will be handled in accordance with the Garden Buzz Returns & Refunds Policy and applicable South African law.

Where reasonably practicable, refunds relating to EFT payments will be made by electronic funds transfer.

Garden Buzz may request reasonable information necessary to verify the original transaction before processing a refund.

The time taken for a refund to reflect in the customer's bank account may depend on the relevant banking institution.

14. Consumer Protection

Nothing in this Payment & Billing Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or waive any right or remedy available to a consumer under South African law.

Garden Buzz will comply with applicable consumer protection and electronic commerce requirements, including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002, to the extent applicable to the relevant transaction.

Where a provision of this policy conflicts with a mandatory provision of applicable law, the applicable legal requirement will prevail.

The Consumer Protection Act requires consumer-facing notices and documents to be presented in plain language, while ECTA requires online suppliers to provide consumers with specified transaction information, including pricing and the manner of payment.

15. Changes to This Policy

Garden Buzz may update this Payment & Billing Policy where necessary to reflect changes to our business operations, payment procedures, website or applicable legal requirements.

The current version of this policy will be published on the Garden Buzz website and will include the applicable effective date.
